Call for Papers: ASSA/AFEA 2018 Conference

African Finance and Economics Association (AFEA) Winter Meeting
January 5-7, 2018

Africa Finance and Economic Association (AFEA) will sponsor two sessions and another session together with National Economic Association (NEA) at the January 2018 ASSA Meetings in Philadelphia devoted to all aspects of economic development or economic growth concerns of African economies.

We wish to take this opportunity to invite you to submit an abstract or paper in Word or PDF for presentation at AFEA sessions. The deadline for submissions to be considered at AFEA/NEA sessions is April 25, 2017. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by May 25, 2017, while the deadline for submitting full paper is October 1, 2017. Please be informed that AFEA will be introducing two awards at this conference: Best Paper Award for the best paper presented at AFEA sessions and the Student Prize for the best paper by a Master or Doctoral Student. Hence, interested authors of accepted papers must abide by the deadline for the submission of full paper for their papers to be considered.

Membership in AFEA is a pre-condition for participation in all AFEA sessions. Therefore, authors whose papers have been provisionally accepted but are not yet AFEA members or have an expired membership dues will be provided opportunity to join or settle that annual dues for the year before the program is finalized. Additional Information: Conference attendees must also register with the ASSA to attend the ASSA annual meeting by paying the ASSA conference registration fees. All attendees of AFEA sessions are expected to pay the ASSA conference registration fees, which will entitle you to name badge, benefit from hotel discount and use of the book exhibit. ASSA registration will open in late August 2018. You may circulate this advert in your departments and institutions.
